Do you have an issue with your retention pond not holding a permanent pool as designed? Do you suspect a leak? This wet pond in Raleigh, NC was losing water through the ground due to poor compaction and unsuitable soils for construction. This issue can be common depending on where construction takes place. When you run into this issue you can install a rubber liner or install a clay liner. For this project, we installed a clay liner for our client. Read on to learn more.
We were contacted by a potential client northeast of Raleigh looking for a floating fountain for their pond in front of their home. After talking to the client about their preferences on the spray pattern and size, we decided to go with an Aqua Control Select Series 2 (SS2™): 3 Horsepower Display Aerator with the Super Lily Nozzle.
The Salvation Army of Wake County is teaming up with Triangle Pond Management! Donate new or gently-used coats at our coat drive, located at Triangle Pond Management 3713 Overlook Rd., Raleigh N.C. 27616 between November 29, 2021, and January 1, 2022. There will be a marked donation drop point out-front of the Triangle Pond Management building. Needed items include new or gently-used coats or new scarves, hats, and gloves for all ages!
Why donate? Millions of Americans (1 in 6 people) are struggling to meet their most basic needs. With economic pressures, more and more families have to make the choice between eating just one meal a day or purchasing a warm coat for their family members.
Many municipalities are becoming increasingly stringent with their regard towards stormwater compliance and the conditions that they will no longer accept at the time of annual inspection. There are many factors that contribute to an SCM/BMP being in a state of compliance. One of the most predominant is the presence of healthy perennial turf coverage in and around the footprint of the SCM/BMP. Many annual inspections will fall in a window during the year (Winter/Summer) that is not conducive to the establishment of this perennial vegetation. In this case, the only way to remain in compliance is to implement costly repairs such as sodding and watering. Or attempting repeated seeding efforts which often do not produce full coverage year after year.
Come see us June 4th-6th at The Man Expo! We will have an indoor booth showcasing all of our services, experts on standby to answer your toughest questions, and our kids’ fishing tank loaded with catfish ready to catch! Our expert bass fisherman will provide a once-in-a-lifetime fishing experience for the kids throughout the day.

In his latest Pondcast, Greg Wittstock with Aquascape interviewed our owner, Sam Williams. In this 20-minute interview, Sam explains how he started Triangle Pond Management and grew it to the successful company it is today.
The Wildlife Management Team at Triangle Pond recently released nearly one thousand live mallard ducks on various properties of our waterfowl clients around North Carolina.
Birds were delivered and released across the state, from the western foothills all the way to the eastern Carolina coast.
Releasing live ducks is another tool property owners can use as part of an overall management plan to attract more waterfowl. These live decoys swim and call and live in the owner’s existing habitat, which in turn catches the eyes and ears of wild ducks for increased hunting or viewing opportunities. We strongly recommend releasing live ducks on newly constructed or newly obtained areas to start establishing a property as an annual stop on the wild duck’s migration south.
Contact the Biologists on the TPM Wildlife Team for help managing your habitat for waterfowl, construction, riser drains, blinds, and planting services.
